Susan G. Komen Race For The Cure

So many years have passed since this great race started.  And even though my mother actually died of cancer, I've never been interested in participating.

Until now.

Those of you who have been following my blog for a while, know my dear friend Darlene, barely 40 years old, has been diagnosed with breast cancer.  At the time of this post, she is in between her 3rd and 4th chemo treatment.  You can read more about her journey on her Caring Bridge site.

Well, this year, the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure means a lot more to me.  A good friend of mine has started Team Darlene.  If you already participate in this race, will you consider joining Team Darlene?  You don't have to know her to support her in her battle with cancer.

Our goal is to have a team of 50.  Please join me and all my friends to help eradicate this nasty disease.  NO ONE should have to endure what my sweet friend, mother and mother in law went through.

If you are interested, instructions are below.
