Atlanta-day 3!

Wow.  It's not even been two weeks but I feel like after everything that has transpired our trip to Atlanta happened eons ago!  But, nevertheless, I wanted to finish up telling about our trip.

Saturday, we woke up early to meet Nicole and her family at the Atlanta Zoo.  We were trying to beat the crowds and the heat.  Overall, the zoo was a good one, but it was super hot even though it was early.

Nicole packed an absolutely FABULOUS picnic lunch and we at right there in the zoo.  We left after Jenna and Paige rode the carousel about 3 times.
Jenna was dying to go swimming and Nicole frequents a pool with a hi-dive, which Jenna had never experienced.  Nicole offered to take the girls swimming at the pool while Steve and I took our first trip to Ikea.  I thought that sounded like a great idea, so away we went.

Ikea.  Holy. Cow.  I fell in immediate love.  This was one of the first things we found that we both loved instantly.
I have always wanted built in bookshelves.  But we kept walking.  We picked up two new lamps for our bedside tables which turned out to be marvelous.  We bought Jenna some new stuff for her bathroom.

And then we went back and bought the bookshelves.  :)  And I'm in love with them.  And Ikea.

It started raining while we were in Ikea, so the girls' swimming trip got cut short.  We met up and picked Jenna up and said our final goodbyes and headed off to the hotel to rest and clean up.

It was a challenge to find a restaurant we could eat at that wouldn't put us in the poorhouse, but we finally found Champps and it was YUM-O.
After dinner, it was back to the hotel.  I took Jenna swimming at the pool for a while and then got to bed.  It was our last night in Atlanta.  :(
