Down to Hours...

We are literally down to hours before we are on our way to China.

Holy cow.  Did I just write, "on our way to China"???!!

We received another $100 today.

The suitcases are in the car and the carry ons are pretty much packed.  I had a backpack which weighed about 3857263 pounds with my oversized laptop.  As an aside, when I got this laptop, it was as a replacement (free) for the one that had crashed.  This was the same model just a little upgraded and had a huge screen.  It's super nice at home, but boy what a pain to travel with.  I was not looking forward to toting that thing around everywhere on my back, but that's all I had.

Until my sweet neighbor, an adoptive mommy with two sons from China (the youngest arriving just 3 weeks ago), came to bring a dinner dish back to us and noticed my huge backpack.  She offered to let me use her ROLLING bag for my laptop.  Unfortunately, the oversized laptop didn't fit in the laptop compartment, but it did fit in the actual case.  So now, my back is happy because I don't have to carry the backpack!  It's the little things...

So, anyway, I'm about to head to bed since my night will be shorter than usual.  My next post might be from Beijing!  Or it might be from Chicago.  Or maybe from here.  Who knows...

In the meantime, keep those prayers coming.  We are overwhelmed at the sheer number of those of you who have offered your prayers.  I literally stand amazed...and humbled.

Thank you friends.

Spending a night up with my sick kiddos praying for your trip! I know it's not the way it works, but I hope all of our sickness and prayers will keep you guys healthy (I know the prayers will, but I am not so sure about the sickness on your behalf!) Can't wait to hear more about your trip! Having lived over there, I love to hear other people's thoughts on Asia!
