The Vacation Chain

A couple years ago when we went to Disney on vacation, a month or so before we left, I helped Jenna sit down and make a paper chain. Every night, she'd tear off a link in the chain. This was a visual to help her see how much longer until we left. It turned out to be a very fun experience and in the end, made a terrific cover page into our Disney scrapbook.

Well, this past weekend, Jenna decided she wanted to do a vacation chain for the cruise. If you've noticed on the ticker at the top of my blog, we still have several days before leaving on the cruise.

It didn't take as long as I thought, but it is a rather loooooongggggg chain. She really looks forward to tearing a link off each night though. If you have kids that continually ask, "How long until...", I'd highly recommend a vacation chain!



In other news, I am sick again. This is allergy attack number 5 since the fall. This time I was already on Claritin, so I don't know what's going on. All I know is that I'm ready for summer and less pollen. I'm seriously considering going to visit an allergist.
